Nosepass Variants: Rock-type (Standard)

Nosepass nosepass.

The standard and much-beloved Rock-type variant of Nosepass is common in many regions throughout the world, from the tropical shores of Alola to the frosty mountains of Sinnoh.

Its vast range of habitats suggests that it was a popular companion for travellers in ancient times. Several historical texts refer to Nosepass walking together with humans. Said texts also refer to Nosepass' hat and pearly eyes, despite those features being attributed to its evolution.

Scientists theorise that Nosepass "devolved" as the eons passed, as a result of settling down in more peaceful areas. Indeed, all observed habitats of Nosepass lack any significant predators, and their mild temperment makes them more likely to work together with other distinct species of Pokémon. Some groups of Nosepass (Hoennian Nosepass in particular) are even noted to be "quite shy".

Nosepass has a keen sense of direction due to its inner magnetism, and can easily guide travellers northwards. Contrary to popular belief, Nosepass are able to control their own magnetism, and are able to turn around and face other magnetic Pokémon (such as other Nosepass) or other cardinal directions as needed. This myth may originate from newborns observed in captivity, as newly-hatched Nosepass take some time to master their own control of magnetism. (Editor's Note: Newborn Nosepass are also extremely adorable. Studying lab footage is highly recommended.)

Our impartial research team (Editor's Note: ha!) give Nosepass nosepass a rating of 10/10. Its patience and sturdiness makes it a perfect partner for any trainer. Adaptable, reliable, adorable.
