List of Object Pokémon

Object Pokémon, or objectmon, is a fan-made term usually used to describe Pokémon that are based on non-living things, particularly man-made objects. Since Pokémon designs are so complex, it can be a challenge to fit them into a strict objectmon definition, but this page is my attempt at doing so in a way that (hopefully) makes sense.

To accomplish this, I have sorted several Pokémon into categories that could be reasonably assumed to count as objectmon:

  • Man-made Objects: Pokémon that are based on man-made items in a variety of materials, including Pokémon based on statues and buildings. Digital Pokémon such as Porygon are also included here.
  • Pollution-based: Pokémon that manifested directly as a result of human pollution, including toxic sludge and garbage.
  • Raw Materials: Pokémon mainly comprised of rock, crystals, ice, metals, energy, and even food. Generally, this will not include Pokémon that are more animal-based, even if they include raw materials in their design.
  • Ghosts and Possessed Objects: Items that are haunted or possessed - that is, the Pokémon can be assumed to be a separate entity from the object it is haunting or inhabiting.
  • Robotic Pokémon: Pokémon that are living automatons or machinery in some way, typically made of metal.

Depending on your own personal perception of what an objectmon is, some of these categories may or may not count as "true" objectmon, or may be more of a big "grey area". I'm hoping, however, that including such categories will still prove to be useful.
